It's just that I have never actually seen one.
Last night, I came out from my toilet and saw a cockroach on the curtain. It has probably come to seek revenge for the one that I had killed in the kitchen weeks ago.
This time, it was so huge that it looked like a boss.
It's that big.
So I went and take the broom, ready to launch the Mission: Exterminate Roaches.
When I get near, about 3 metres away, it spread its wings and flew towards me.
That was what happened. NOT.
Having watched too much martial arts drama and ninja anime, I braced myself and held my broom like a two-handed sword.
Illustration only.
With perfect timing, I swatted the bug down in mid-air.
Broom Style: Karate chop!
One Hit KO!
I swept it out from my room and swung the broom so hard that the cockroach crashed into the wall with a loud thud. Probably broke its neck if it has one.
Having a kind heart, I decided not to deal the killing blow. I expected the cockroach to die from its injuries by morning.
This morning, it wasn't there anymore.
Die-hard bugs.
By the way, cockroaches eat so much that they can only fly at the speed about 20 centimetres per second.
